Easter Pups

First I would like to say that The Country Bumpkins and I are saying prayers to all those that are in the path of the tornado's tonight! We pray everyone will stay safe! We are all safe here but I am told by one of  my Storm Chasers to be ready for bad weather to hit our area in May to June, so we will be watching here as well.

On Easter Thursday 21 April 2011 St Paddie's Day Suprize (ATB) was blessed with 6 beautiful grandchildren. There are 4 girls and 2 boys. We are very excited about these pups as we have waited 10 years for them to get here.

They are all growing and are so fat and Sassy. The picture below is one we took on Easter.

I will get more as I go along. Right now we are working on an Easter theme for names. so far we have.
Little Happy Easter (Happy), Little Easter Bonnet (Bonnie), Little Easter Jellybean, and Little Easter Bunny.
Charlie says yeah we go from every thing being St Patrick's Day to Easter. I think that is just to cool.
Things here are well. I had surgery on my knee 13 April 2011. I was blessed as I did not need a knee replacement. Dr. Neel just cleaned it up and found a tendon of some kind over my knee and cut it as he thought that was what was causing me so much pain. I got to come home that same day, only to end up in the hospital the day after cause I was so sick. Then I got sick again on Easter. There is this virus going around and it has been hard to shake.
This week is Spring Break for school so it has been good to have some time off. I passed my English Comp 1 with a B. I sure was excited.  My next class has me a bit weary but I will trudge through like I have the rest of them.
Well going to go lay down it is getting late here.

Surgery

Hold me in your prayers as I am looking at a total knee replacement tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 10:30 am and will go to surgery at noon. I have full faith that Dr. Neel will make the right decision as far as my knee goes. He had taken care of me for many years. And I am looking forward to the fact that one day my knee will no longer hurt. I am glad my sister is here as she will help me with my recovery as well as my wonderful dear loving husband.
Freddie is starting well has been for a while show that there are puppies. Her tits are looking like they might start getting filled with milk. We are all excited here as it has been a long time since we had basset pups. They will be really spoiled I think.
This is Trapper with his sister Lilly when she was a pup. Trapper is the Father of these pups and so they are 3rd generation to my Paddie. So you can see how important  they are to us.
School is going well and so far I am holding an A in English Comp. This is my second time to take this class as the first time was not very good for me. I am happy with the progress I am making.

Spring

Man is the wind blowing today. It nearly knocked me over it was blowing so hard.

Spring is upon us as the birds are building their nest in the tree's and we planted some plants on Sunday. Let me see if I can remember what we have. Tomatoes, Broc., Calif, Brussel Sprouts. Star Lillies, Sage, Rosemary, Orgeno, Tulips, Daffodills. and I do not remember what else. It was the first time in 3 years that I have even felt like planting any thing. Sister is cleaning out the flower bed around the big tree so we will be planting some flowers/herbs there as well.
Well from what I can see on the weather for cast Monday we are suppose to get rain and snow. I am going to have to find away this weekend to protect my plants from the weather. Boy this really sucks. So Friday we will gather hay and what ever else we can find to protect my plants. I do have a cold frame but that I do not think is going to work as the plants are already planted.

Since I am having to start in a new place for my blog I am going to put the white eagle here to watch over us and to protect us.

Day Light Savingings Time.

Day Light Saving Time this year was early and boy was the day cut short today. It went by fast. I really do not like Day Lights Saving as it means the days go by faster. Things are good today and I spent today learning more about our family history. I am now in touch with a distant cousin which I think is great.
I guess this blog will be short tonight but did want to get something written.
I though to I might add a few of my writings here as well.

The Night Sky and Moon
The wonders of the night in the fall time of the year never cease to amaze me. What a wonderful sight to see as one drives down the road to look at the moon so bright. It has been rather dreary here lately. I went to class last night it is a 20 min drive from where I live and I drive through rolling hill and fields of milow. I was looking out across the fields on my way down and up above the fields of milow and sunflowers sat a hazy film and I was thinking to myself how awesome that Gods beauty was, and how neat it would be to lay in the fields and to watch the film come over the top of me and to feel it's freshness and to feel the coolness of it all.
But nothing could take my breath away as it did when I came out of class at 10:30 pm and there was a fog build up on my windows. I am thinking to myself I do not want to fight this all the way home. I start off down the highway and as I reach the rolling hills I look up to see the moon shining so bright. It is white in color with an yellow glow about it. By this time the haze that sat over the fields of sunflower and milow have reached up to the night sky. As I am driving along the haze will cover the moon and in these parts the night sky is dark, when you get past it the night sky lights up again.
When you reach the bottom of the rolling hills, the night sky is lit up and you can now see the haze as if you were now able to reach out and touch it. I was so thrilled to get to play in such a wondrous thing last night. I had the window and was breathing in the cool of the night and it sure felt good and I was able for that moment able to feel free as if there was nothing that would touch me but The Night Moon and Sky.
EMT classes are going well and I am learning many new things. I cannot get over how much there is that I do not know and I am working hard at learning it. I have found the best way to learn the book is to read, go over the study questions after the chapter and then do the study question in the book. So far I have made a 70 to 90% on the pop test the instructor has given.
This Monday and Tues I will be gone to Texas. Hubby and I are going to get Baby Lou and Tinker Bell, he has worked really hard to get there fence up and I am so proud of him for this is a big wood rail fence and he is doing it all alone. I am hoping to see two wonderful people there that were in my life when I needed someone. They still are and are very special to me.
I hope all is well with everyone we are doing good here and I am getting ready to put up my fall decorations in the front yard, How ever my fence had to come down to make a place for Baby and Tinker, that is OK it will go back up soon.
